CLINICAL SYSTEM PROBLEMS Posted or Updated on 29 Aug 2024

Our clinical computer system was one of many out of action on Friday July 19 following an international IT issue.

Although the system (EMIS Web) is now restored, there was a massive backlog of prescriptions, test results, hospital summaries and other work as well as appointments and patient enquiries. We have been working hard to clear this, but please be aware that delays may still occur.

If you have a booked appointment, please try and attend in good time. Please bear in mind that when you arrive, there may be a longer wait than usual. If you are having difficulty contacting us about a routine health issue, please consider using our online form on the front page of the website. For an urgent need that cannot wait, please call us as usual. You can also get help from pharmacies and the NHS website.

Please be patient with surgery staff and those in other services who are working hard to update systems, work through backlogs and support patients at this challenging time. There was no direct impact on NHS 999, so people should call 999 in a life or limb-threatening emergency, as usual.

For other health advice and updates, go to NHS.UK, or visit NHS 111 online while the surgery is closed.
